Parent Commitment Letter
Commitment Letter
Included in the Back-to-School paperwork, we ask that each family make a financial and volunteer contribution. This helps us reduce the number of fundraising activities needed to support the extra programs and services that make Happy Valley so special.
It is no accident that Happy Valley continues to be the best elementary school in the county and one of the top schools in the state. With our staff of exceptional teachers and administrators working in a small school environment, the school provides the students with an education that is second to none. Happy Valley is special in other ways, too, by being able to rely on community involvement and fundraising to enhance the student experience.
Happy Valley is the ONLY school in the county that has an aide in each classroom, a computer lab, and an art and music program. The Parent Club makes these enrichment programs possible by fundraising through two different avenues: Community Events and Donations.

What does this buy?
Three classroom aides which allows us to have the lowest student-to-teacher ratio in the county; The art and music program which enhances students’ learning with visual and performing arts (Winter and Spring concerts, ukuleles, etc.); The computer lab which exposes the students to critical skills they will need, especially as they relate to the Common Core standards; Life lab and library; Endowment Fund contributions and classroom technology grants to name a few extras! What does this mean for you? We ask that each family make financial and volunteer commitments in order to keep these programs that we all cherish intact. We understand that money may not fit into your family’s budget or time may not fit into your busy work schedule. There are still other ways you can help. Please complete the financial commitment and the volunteer commitment and indicate what works for your family. |

Volunteer Commitment
One of the things that makes our school so great is the involvement from the families and the community. We couldn't do what we do without this help.
This is why we ask that each family select at least TWO volunteer items from the following list.
Someone from the Parent Club or the person in charge of the event will contact you as we get closer to the event.
If you have a particular skill set that would be useful to the Parent Club or the school, please let us know.
